Perplexity Computer is an agentic AI assistant that uses your computer to complete tasks for you, essentially a general-purpose digital worker that reasons, delegates to sub-agents, and executes multi-step workflows (research, document generation, coding etc).
Alex Lieberman co-founded Morning Brew, led it as CEO to more than four million subscribers and a $75m sale to Business Insider, and has now co-founded Tenex, an AI engineering and transformation firm partnered with six of the largest AI companies. He publishes to 218k followers on LinkedIn on AI transformation, content systems and building in public. He runs a company whose business is implementing AI for enterprises and mid-market companies.
Alex got his hands on Perplexity Computer, and had one goal - build something that will help drive forward your business.
Perplexity wanted it's capability demonstrated, without a script or a curated feature tour. The bet was that a capable operator left alone with the product would prove more in public than paid media could.
Alex used Perplexity Computer to solve two problems he already had, a content system for his own writing and an operating dashboard for Tenex. Both were built live and posted step by step, with none of the process edited to look cleaner than it was.
Two functioning tools. A Content Machine that takes a raw idea through research, structured interviews, drafting and a multi-persona review loop into finished, on-voice writing. And a Founder Dashboard that pulls data from several everyday work tools into one daily view, so Alex and his cofounder can see what changed overnight without opening each one.
Perplexity received two detailed posts from someone with no incentive to overstate the product, each breaking down how the tool was built and why it held up. Deliverables: Two LinkedIn text posts which link to two actual workable tools built in Perplexity Computer.
Perplexity has now commissioned Alex to develop a YouTube show showcasing best-in-class Perplexity Computer use cases.
